Gillian Crawford Wow (Scotland) Ltd
Following a 20 year career as a journalist with The Times and The Sunday Times in London and Glasgow, latterly as deputy editor of the Sunday Times Scotland, Gillian founded Wow (Scotland) Ltd which trades under two names; Tartan Twist, a Scottish jewellery and gift brand focusing on clan tartans and Lily Blanche, a fine jewellery brand, specialising in lockets.
The bestselling item is the Lily Blanche Memory Keeper Locket, which opens to reveal six secret photographs and has been worn by Judy Murray at Wimbledon and by the actress Hermione Norris in the series Cold Feet.
Wow Scotland Ltd is based in Stirling and Lily Blanche and Tartan Twist sell via stockists throughout the UK including: Edinburgh Castle; Tower of London; Gleneagles Hotel; The Scottish Parliament Shop; The Orient Express Group and Kensington Palace. The company’s main focus is on ecommerce.
In December 2017, Gillian became an ambassador for Women’s Enterprise Scotland and vice-chair of The British Association of Women Entrepreneurs. She also writes a weekly current affairs column for The Sunday Times. Gillian lives in Stirling with her husband, a consultant psychiatrist and their three children.
