WES Launches Ambassador Recruitment Campaign

Women's Enterprise Scotland is looking for women who run their own businesses to join our prestigious WES role model Ambassador team. Our Ambassadors help inspire and encourage other women to shape ideas, start up and grow their own business. Ambassadors are passionate about helping other women in business and make a time commitment to Ambassador duties (including attending two training days and representing the women's business community at four events per year either locally or nationally). Duties can vary from attending local networking events to speaking at events or in the media, writing a blog post or providing mentoring support. Training will be given on topics such as:

The current position of women’s enterprise in Scotland and globally

Critical challenges for women-led business

Business support valued by women-led business

Presentation skills

Engaging with the media

Giving Evidence to Parliamentary Committees

Mentoring

Please use this form to apply to become a WES Ambassador or to nominate someone else as a WES Ambassador. If you have applied before, we would be delighted to hear from you again. Please note that all applicants or nominees must be able to attend an Ambassador training day in central Edinburgh on Thursday 28th February.

The deadline for applications is Monday 21st January.

Applications will be reviewed by an Advisory Board comprised of senior leaders from business organisations including Scottish Enterprise, Business Gateway, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the Federation of Small Businesses, Entrepreneurial Scotland and Converge Challenge.
