WOMEN'S ENTERPRISE SCOTLAND AWARDS FINALISTS REVEALED

The shortlist for the Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards 2019, in conjunction with Scottish Business Insider, has been revealed.

Established and emerging business leaders from across Scotland have been chosen as finalists for the awards, with the judging panel facing the difficult task of determining just 29 finalists across 10 categories from an unprecedented number of entries.

Carolyn Currie, CEO of Women’s Enterprise Scotland commented: “Evidence consistently shows that accessible role models are a powerful tool for inspiring and encouraging women to start and grow businesses.

Both the volume and the calibre of entries for the Awards have been exceptionally high and the judging panel had a very challenging task to compile the list of finalists. We are looking forward to a fantastic Awards evening next month, when we recognise and celebrate the impressive achievements of Scotland’s businesswomen.”

Entrepreneur Vicky Brock who chaired the judging panel said: “The judges were impressed with the fantastically high standard of entries. The range of the individual business leaders and enterprises represented here shows there is lots of new talent appearing.

“The Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards is a great vehicle for shining a spotlight on the emerging talent and some of the more established female leaders.”

Winners of the Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards, which is being delivered in conjunction with Scottish Business Insider and supported by Clydesdale Bank, Business Gateway, DSL and Boe Gin will be announced at a glittering ceremony which takes place in the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow on Wednesday 18 September.
