WES CEO Recognised at IoD Scotland Director of the Year Awards

Carolyn Currie, CEO of Women’s Enterprise Scotland, has been recognised at The Institute of Directors (IoD) Scotland’s Director of the Year Awards 2023 after picking up the award for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.

The ceremony was hosted by Stephen Jardine last night (8 June) at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) and named winners across 12 national categories and six regional awards in each of the IoD branches.

Carolyn Currie was recognised for her commitment and success in encouraging participation from all teams in her organisation and board demonstrating true leadership skills. Judges were impressed by her “strong board engagement, demonstrated through structured reporting” generating a clear “individual stake” among directors.

Catherine McWilliam, Nations Director at the Institute of Directors Scotland, said:
